Spot Pizza advanced to the next round of the Palo Alto Little League City Tournament with an 8-4 victory over Healthy Pets on Wednesday at Middlefield Ballpark. The loss bounced Healthy Pets from the double-elimination tournament.

Spot Pizza will face Palo Alto Sport Shop on Thursday (4:30 p.m.) at Middlefield Ballpark, with the loser being eliminated. The winner will advance to the championship game on Tuesday (4:30 p.m.) against unbeaten Stanford Electric, which knocked Sport Shop into the consolation bracket with an 8-1 win on Tuesday. Should Stanford Electric lose in the title game, a challenge game will be held Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.

In previous years, the tournament wrapped up during the weekend. The championhip game, however, has been moved due to the Memorial Day weekend.
