Ponderosa High School senior Shasta Stinson signed a letter of intent for Menlo College and the softball program.
Stinson joins the Lady Oaks as an incoming freshman who pitches and plays first base. A native of Shingle Springs, Calif., Stinson was a four-year varsity softball player for Ponderosa High School where she was a part of the 2012 team that earned honors as the Delta River Division I champions.
A member of the Foothill Gold 18U travel team, Stinson hopes to make an immediate impact on the Lady Oaks and help solidify the future of the program.
"Shasta is a wonderful young lady that we are excited to have join Menlo College Softball," said Menlo coach Michell Vlahos. "She will add depth to our pitching staff in the years to come and will help us build the program that we are working toward here at Menlo."
