WBAL trials , Menlo's Price wins three events

Menlo School junior Maddy Price was the individual standout at the West Bay Athletic League trials at Saturday at Gunn High as she won three events. She opened with an easy 59.69 qualifier in the 400 and came back a short while later to post the fastest 100 prelim of 12.31. Price finished up on the track with a wind-aided 24.96.

Sacred Heart Prep senior Nico Robinson also stood out on the hot and windy day as he won the 110 high hurdles in a wind-legal 14.85 and came back to take the 300 intermediate hurdles in 39.78.

Menlo School freshman MacKenzie Duffner was the top qualifier in the girls' 100 hurdles in 16.23, Menlo senior Max Parker led the 400 in 50.42, Jhed Yuzon of Sacred Heart Prep had the best throw (45-4 1/2) in the boys' shot put and Ross Corey of Priory led the way in the boys' 800 (2:04.20).
