Joey August had three hits, including a double, and drove in two runs as the Stanford baseball team defeated visiting Arizona State, 10-2, in a Pac-10 game on Sunday. The victory is No. 1,300 for Cardinal coach Mark Marquess and moves Stanford (4-2, 15-9) into a three-way tie for first place in the conference. The Cardinal travels to California for a nonconference game on Monday.
