Varsity Boys Tennis
Carlmont 5, Menlo-Atherton 2
Date of competition: Thursday, April 4, 2013
The Menlo-Atherton boys' tennis team is still in good shape to defend its PAL Bay Division regular-season title, but the Bears just won't do it with a unbeaten record. A perfect league season came to an end in a 5-2 loss to host Carlmont on Thursday. The Bears (8-1, 12-2) missed two starters -- one in singles and one in doubles -- who reportedly were academically ineligible. Both played in M-A's 4-3 first-round win over the Scots.
