The Stanford synchronized swimming team placed second in the semifinal of the United States National Collegiate Championships on Friday in Columbus, Ohio. The Cardinal hopes to improve in Saturday's final. In technical competition, Stanford's Courtenay Stewart finished second in 'A' Figures with a score of 85.557. Sara Lowe was fourth at 84.169 for the Cardinal, which placed four among the top 10.
