The Sacred Heart Prep boys' soccer team made some program history by upending No. 4-seeded San Mateo, 2-0, in the quarterfinals of the Central Coast Section Division III playoffs on Saturday at Burlingame High. San Mateo was the defending CCS Division II champion. The No. 5-seeded Gators (17-2-3) advanced to the semifinals for the first time since moving from the fall season to winter in 2008-09. SHP will play No. 9 Gilroy (11-9-2) in the semifinals after Gilroy upset No. 1 Half Moon Bay in penalty kicks, 7-6.
