The Gunn wrestling made program history with its first undefeated dual-match championship in the SCVAL De Anza Division following a 51-27 victory over host Fremont on Thursday. The Titans finished 6-0. Gunn is now poised to defend its league tournament title. The two-day tourney runs Friday and Saturday at Homestead High.

“I think we have as many as six wrestlers who could win an individual title this year,” said Gunn coach Chris Horpel, now in his 10th year. “I am really proud of the progress we have made and I cannot wait for the league tournaments to begin.”

Against Fremont, Gunn got pins from Cadence Lee (106), Daniel Papp (120), Eric Cramer (126), Ian Cramer (132), Blaze Lee (145), Stephen Martin (182), Sean Lydster (195) and Harsha Mokkarala (220).
