Palo Alto outscored host Gunn, 42-3, in the five field events to get things rolling toward a 75-48 victory for the Vikings (2-0) in a SCVAL De Anza Division dual-meet on Thursday. Senior Mike Scott won the high jump (5-10) and triple jump (a season-best 43-11) to spark the Vikings' effort in the field events. On the track, Gunn (1-1) got sprint victories from Charles Chisom in the 100 (10.9) and 200 (22.8) and Dezmon Hunter (1:59.8) in the 800.
