The Menlo School girls’ soccer team wrapped up its two-day tour of La Jolla with a 3-3 draw against The Bishop’s School on Saturday. After being down 1-0 at half, the Knights bounced back when freshman Elena Gray scored with 12 minutes into second half unassisted by stealing a goal kick.

Five minutes later, junior Chandler Wickers scored by intercepting a clearance ball. The Bishop’s tied the score at 2 then Menlo scored its third with a long free kick by juniors Lindsay Karle to Emma LaPorte with 13 minutes left in the game. The Bishop’s tied the game with five minutes remaining in the game.

“It was a well-played game against a very talented Bishop's team with no weaknesses anywhere,” Menlo assistant Jorge Chen said.

Menlo (2-2-4) opens West Bay Athletic League (Foothill Division) play on Thursday against host Crystal Springs.
