Forest Park Blackhawks 25, Palo Alto Knights 16
Date of competition: Sunday, December 2, 2012
The Palo Alto Knights' Jr. Midgets football team will not be bringing home a title this season from the American Youth Football national championships in Kissimmee, Fla. The best Palo Alto can do is a third-place finish after the Knights dropped their opener on Sunday, 25-16, to the Forest Park Blackhawks of Baltimore, Md. Palo Alto also lost standout Ethan Stern to a broken arm during first-quarter action. The Knights will play again on Tuesday, needing a victory to reach Thursday's game for third place.
