The Palo Alto Lady Vikes met a tough opponent in the Los Gatos Wildcats. While both teams were successful at making multiple shots on goal. Los Gatos’ accuracy at the goal pushed the Wildcats to a 5-0 lead over the Lady Vikes at the half. Abbey Kinnaman and Martine LeClerc scored quickly in the third quarter allowing the Lady Vikes a chance to get back into the game. In the 4th quarter Paly made a strong comeback. Tess Van Hulsen scored the 3rd goal with 2:15 left in the game, and Emma Wolfe scored the 4th goal for the Lady Vikes with 57 seconds remaining. Palo Alto’s defense shut out Los Gatos’ attempt at another goal, but Paly’s attempt at a counterattack ended when the buzzer rang.
