Alex Morgan scored in the second overtime period to lift the U.S. to a dramatic 4-3 victory over Canada in the semifinals of the 2012 London Olympic Games on Monday.

Christine Sinclair, who scored all three goals, gave the Canadians the early advantage, scoring in the 22nd minute, in a semifinal match of the 2012 London Olympic Games.

Canada's coach accused the U.S. of "illegal tactics" on Sunday, yet it was Canada which was called for two quick fouls in the first minute and were called for six fouls in the first 35 minutes.

Through the first half, Canada was called for eight fouls to the U.S. five.

The Americans got off six shots, but none were on goal.

Defending World Cup champion Japan defeated France, 2-1, in the other semifinal.
