The U.S. Women's National Volleyball Team beat host China, 26-24, 25-21, 27-25, in Sunday's finale to finish the FIVB Grand Prix final round unbeaten in five matches (14-0 overall in Grand Prix competition) and win the $200,000 prize money in Ningbo.
Stanford grad Kristin Richards had five kills and a team best seven excellent receptions. Richards left the Cardinal program as the career leader in digs, but has since been passed. Stanford grad Cynthia Barboza was used a serving sub in the first and third sets.
