Zach Jones hit a three-run home run to tie the game, but California came back to beat visiting Stanford, 8-3, on Tuesday in a nonconference baseball game. Joey August had three hits for the Cardinal (6-3), which plays at St. Mary's on Wednesday at 1 p.m.
