A solid team effort propelled the Menlo Park Legends' baseball team to a 7-0 win over the visiting Salinas Tomahawks on Friday at Cañada College. Menlo-Atherton grad Jeff Keller led the attack with three hits, including two doubles, and two RBI. Andrew Castañeda and Peter Woodall added two hits each for the Legends (5-5).
The Legends' pitching staff allowed three hits, beginning with a strong six-inning performance by DJ Sharabi. He allowed two hits and struck out two. Ryan Reese and Corey Zirbes came in to relief and struck out two more batters.
