The Menlo Park Legends dropped a 4-3 decision in 10 innings in their home opener to the visiting NorCal Longhorns in Far West League semipro baseball action Wednesday at Canada College. Menlo Park (1-3, 4-5) left the bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th and had two runners thrown out at home. Palo Alto High grad Tyger Pederson brought the Legends to within 4-3 in the bottom of the 10th on an RBI groundout. A bases-loaded groundout, however, ended the Legends' threat.
