Menlo College senior second baseman C.J. Dailey was named to the Rawlings-NAIA Gold Glove Team as the nation’s best defensive second baseman it was learned Tuesday.

"I was very excited when I heard the news," Dailey said. "I am honored to have been considered and selected. It's also nice to have Menlo recognized on a bigger stage in so many ways this year."

Dailey did not make an error while helping to turn 33 double plays. "I am very happy for C.J.," Menlo first-year coach Stefan McGovern said. "He worked so hard all season long and I consider him the best defender I have ever coached."
