Elaine Breeden lowered her school record to win the 200 fly in 1:52.27, the nation's top time in the event this season but the Stanford women's swimming team finished second in the Pac-10 Championships at the Belmont Plaza Pool in Long Beach on Saturday. The Cardinal (1,472 points) cut into Arizona's lead but couldn't overcome it as the Wildcats (1,501) won their third straight conference title. Also on the final day, Liz Smith and Caroline Bruce finished 2-3 in the 200 breast, Elizabeth Durot was second in the 1,650 free and Julia Smit was third in the 200 back.
