The Menlo-Atherton boys' tennis team improved to 50-0 in PAL Bay Division regular-season matches since 2008 by blanking host San Mateo, 7-0, in a makeup match on Monday. The Bears (11-0, 16-2) remained atop the standings and moved closer to a fourth straight unbeaten regular season in the PAL with their easy victory. Sophomores Nick Fratt and Scott Morris led the way at No. 1 and 2 singles, combining to lose only three games. Only one match went to a third set, that being at No. 1 doubles where seniors Zeke Brown and Matt Giordano prevailed, 6-0, 4-6, 6-3. The Bears wrap up their regular season with three road matches against El Camino (Tuesday), Burlingame (Wednesday) and Aragon (Thursday). A regular-season title will earn M-A an automatic berth into the Central Coast Section playoffs.
