Kate Dwelley and Elaine Breeden each recorded a second-place finish during the second day of the Pac-10 Women's swimming championships at Belmont Plaza Pool in Long Beach on Thursday. Dwelley swam a 4:41.67 in the 500 free and Breeden went 1:56.45 in the 200 IM. Julia Smit was third in the 200 IM with a 1:57.03. Brooke Bishop was fourth in the 50 free with a time of 22.45, and the Stanford 200 free relay team was fourth in 1:29.54. The meet continues through Saturday.

At the Men's Pac-10 diving championships in Federal Way, WA, Brent Eichenseer finished second in the 3-meter event, recording a 365.85. Nathan Kim was fourth with a score of 335.85.

  In the women's 1-meter diving competion, Sarah Ohr recorded a score of 302.05 to win the event for Stanford. Meg Hostage was second with a 289.25. The Cardinal moved into second place behind leader Arizona (496-472) after two days of competition.
