David Stringer pitched four scoreless innings of relief to save Stanford's 4-3 victory over visiting Nevada on Tuesday. Max Fearnow went five innings for the win. Stringer recorded his second save in three days. The Cardinal (3-2) scored twice in the bottom of the fifth to take the 4-3 lead. Cord Phelps had one of his four hits, and Brendan Domaracki walked. Sean Ratliff singled home one run and Jason Castro hit a sacrifice fly to plate the game winner. Stanford hosts Cal State Fullerton in a three-game series beginning Friday at 5 p.m.
