Palo Alto High grad Jeremy Lin scored 16 of his 18 points in the fourth quarters to spark the New York Knicks to their fifth straight victory, an 82-79 triumph over the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday in Madison Square Garden. Lin made all 10 of his free throws and grabbed five rebounds with three assists and just two turnovers in nearly 36 minutes.
Earlier in the week, it was announced that Lin had signed a two-year contract with automaker Volvo to promote the company's cars around the world. Volvo, originally based in Sweden, now is owned by a Chinese corporation.
