Freshman Katie Foug (1,600 and 300 hurdles) and sophomore Becca Raffel (long jump and triple jump) each posted two individual victories, but it still wasn't enough as the Palo Alto girls' track and field team opened its SCVAL De Anza Division dual-meet season with a close 67-59 loss to visiting Mountain View on Thursday. Raffel had a solid winning jump of 17-0 3/4 in the long jump to highlight her efforts, which included leading off the winning 400 relay.
