The Menlo men's Soccer Team is proud to announce their newest signing, Santa Clara native Andrew Cota to their 2012 roster.

The midfielder-forward will enter his Oaks tenure as a junior, after spending one season at University of San Francisco and one at De Anza College.

Cota brings an outstanding resume to the forefront, one that includes a whole host of impressive awards and accolades. Andrew took home a spot on the 2009 Coast Conference First-Team while at De Anza, and in high school was named the West Catholic Athletic League Offensive Player of the Year during his senior campaign at Bellarmine College Prep.

In the storied season Cota scored 20 goals and added 20 assists, while also being recognized as the Cal-Hi Sports Central Coast Soccer Player of the Year.

"We are excited to have Andrew joining us for the next two seasons," said Menlo coach Mike Keller, who attended Serra High. "He will bring a wealth of experience and we expect him to have big contributions on and off the field, especially on the attack side of the ball."

As far as Cota is concerned, the chance to play with the defending California Pacific Conference Champions in 2012 is an opportunity that he is eagerly anticipating. "I'm excited and can't wait to join the program!" claimed an enthusiastic Cota.
