Jason Castro hit a two-run home run during a four-run seventh inning and the Stanford baseball team beat visiting Nebraska, 4-2, in a nonconference game on Sunday. The Cardinal (2-1) scored all four runs after two were out. Cord Phelps walked and Zach Jones doubled him home. Sean Ratliff reached on an error, allowing Jones to score and Castro followed with his blast. Palo Alto High grad David Stringer pitched two innings to earn the save in support of winner Jeffrey Inman. Stanford hosts St. Mary's on Monday at 5 p.m.
