Palo Alto High grad Jeremy Lin scored 28 points and dished out a career-high 14 assists as the New York Knicks upended the defending NBA champion Dallas Mavericks, 104-97, before a national TV audience in Madison Square Garden on Sunday. Lin's 28 points equals the second-most of his career. Since Lin stepped into the Knicks' lineup on Feb. 4, New York has gone 8-1 and Lin has averaged 25 points and 9.2 assists per game. During that time, Lin has scored more points (225) than any other NBA player.
