The Sacred Heart Prep boys' soccer team successfully defended its West Bay Athletic League title with a 2-0 victory over visiting Eastside Prep on Friday. The Gators improved to 11-0-2 in league for 35 points (14-0-4 overall) with only one match remaining. SHP's closest pursuer, Menlo School, had 27 points before Friday's match and needed two wins and two SHP losses to knock the Gators from the top spot. Daniel Thaure (assist Willy Lamb) and Robert Hellman (assist Andrew Segre) tallied second-half goals to pace Sacred Heart Prep. The Panthers fell to 6-6 and 9-7-1.
