The Sacred Heart Prep boys' soccer team didn't get a goal but also didn't lose any ground to rival Menlo School as the neighbors battled to a scoreless deadlock in West Bay Athletic League action on Friday. The Gators had the home field advantage, but couldn't capitalize on numerous opportunities while remaining in first place at 6-0-2 (9-0-4). The Knights, which started the day in second place, also picked up one point while moving to 4-1-3 (7-1-5). Menlo junior keeper Tim Costa and SHP senior goalie Max Polkinhorne both had standout efforts while SHP junior Patrick Tinsley nearly won it in the closing moments, driving a shot over the crossbar and ripping a cross just left of the cage, both in the final two minutes.
