Caitlin Teoman scored in the first half off an assist from Eugenia Jernick and that proved to be enough as the Priory girls' soccer team rolled to a 3-0 victory over visiting Notre Dame-San Jose in a West Bay Athletic League (Foothill Division) opener on Tuesday. The Panthers (4-2-2 overall) added an insurance goal in the 58th minute when senior Darrah Shields nailed a free kick. Shields finished the scoring 14 minutes later off a corner kick from Sarah Zuckerman. Priory seniors Molly Simpson and Alyson Perna had standout performances on defense.
The victory marked the beginning of a busy week for Priory, which takes on host Castilleja on Wednesday and hosts Menlo School on Thursday.
