The Menlo School girls' soccer team defeated visiting Prospect, 3-1, in a nonleague match on Tuesday. The Knights improved to 2-2-2.
Menlo's first goal at 29 minutes was scored by sophomore Lindsay Karle from close range on a rebound of sophomore Chandler Wickers' shot.
In the second half, Menlo junior Priya Medberry scored from 14 yards after a cross from junior Ellie Still in the 15th minute for a 2-0 lead.
Prospect made it 2-1 on a long shot at 25 minutes and Menlo answered one minute later when Karle tallied her second goal from eight yards off an assist from sophomore Sienna Stritter. Menlo out-shot Prospect 20-6. Junior goalies Julia Dressel and Kelly McConell each had three saves while splitting time in goal. Senior Shannon Lacy led the Knights defense.
