The No. 6-seeded Palo Alto boys' water polo team advanced to the semifinals of the Central Coast Section Division I playoffs with a 5-4 upset of No. 3 Menlo-Atherton on Saturday at Sacred Heart Prep. The Vikings (17-13) next will play No. 2 Bellarmine (18-9), an 18-6 winner over No. 7 Gunn on Saturday.

The defense only yielded 1 power play goal (on 4 opportunities) and no penalty goals on one attempt.
