With Michael Naumann and John Bennet each scoring twice, the Pinewood football won it’s second in a row with a 54-6 romp over visiting Anzar High (San Jaun Batista) in eight-man action on Friday in Los Altos Hills.

Pinewood’s offense got rolling quickly as the Panthers scored on their first possession -- a 16-yard run by Naumann. Pinewood’s second possession saw Bennet scored on a quarterback sneak from two yards out. Pinewood opened the second quarter with Dante Fraioli breaking free for a 42-yard touchdown run. Pinewood added another TD, a 23-yard pass from Bennet to Max Darrow, before Bennet finished the quarter with a 38-yard scoring run as the Panthers took a 40-0 lead into halftime.

After Anzar escaped a shutout with a third-quarter score, Pinewood got back at it with Naumann scoring on a 42-yard run. Greg Naumann put the finishing touches on the scoring outburst by returning an interception 17 yards for the final TD.
