Priory senior Kat Gregory ran away with individual honors while the Sacred Heart Prep girls captured the team crown to highlight the first cross-country meet of the West Bay Athletic League season on Thursday at San Bruno Mountain. Gregory toured the hilly 2.8-mile course in 17:09 to easily defeat runner-up Maddy Price of Menlo School (18:35). The Gators scored 50 points to hold off Menlo as Gillian Belton finished fourth in 18:58 to pace SHP. Kathryn Leahy, Meghan Holland, Brooke Neider and Taylor Ruegg all finished among the top 20 to round out the winning team effort.
