Palo Alto Oaks 7, Walnut Creek Crawdads 4

The Palo Alto Oaks bounced back from their first loss of the season to beat the Walnut Creek Crawdads, 7-4, in the second round of the AABC NorCal State Tournament on Friday at San Jose Academy. Joe McGlaughlin had three hits and four RBI to pace the Oaks (15-1). His double in the second inning gave Palo Alto a 3-1 lead. Menlo-Atherton grad Tyler Finley had an RBI single in the third inning. Graham Rodriguez came on in relief of starter Brant Norlander and got the win with four solid innings. The Oaks were scheduled to play again Saturday morning. The championship game will be Sunday, also at San Jose Academy.
