The Menlo Park Legends bounced back from a doubleheader loss on Saturday to beat the visiting Santa Maria Packers, 10-2, on Monday at Menlo College as Curtis Camilli struck out 12 and allowed one run on five hits as the Legends improved to 22-14 in semipro baseball action this summer. Menlo Park will host the Nevada Bighorns on Tuesday, also at Menlo College, at 4:30 p.m.
The Legends scored four runs in the fifth, highlighted by a two-run single by Grant Nelson that gave Menlo Park a 4-1 lead. The Legends added six runs in the eighth, with Cody Larson's two-run double being the big hit. Paly grad Tyger Pederson had an RBI triple to get the scoring under way.
