Palo Alto senior Skylar Dorosin was named an alternate to the USA Women's Cadet National Team on Friday as announced by coach Kim Everist.

Dorosin is part of the travel roster that will compete in the Pan American UANA Youth Championships this August 4-13 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Stanford grad Alison Gregorka is an assistant coach to the USA Women’s Youth National Team, which will compete in Hungary beginning July 16.

At the local level, the Stanford girls’ water polo club team qualified both its U16 Red and U16 White teams for the Junior Olympics. NorCal’s U16 team finished third at the qualifying tournament in the East Bay, while the Stanford Red team was fourth and White was sixth.

The Stanford boys’ U16 Red and White teams also qualified, with the Red finishing third and the White team placing fifth.
