The Stanford women's water polo program is well-represented on the U.S. National Team that will compete at the FINA World Championships next month in Shanghai, China. The 13-player roster includes Cardinal graduates Brenda Villa and Jessica Steffens, current Stanford players Annika Dries and Melissa Seidemann plus incoming freshman Maggie Steffens, who is the only recent high school graduate on the team.

The roster features eight returning Olympians, seven from the team that took silver at the 2008 Beijing Games. Team USA is coming off a gold medal at last week's FINA World League Super Final in China.
