Matt Campbell was at his best as he took a no-hitter into the ninth inning against the Fontenetti Athletics on Sunday in Western Baseball Association semipro action at Baylands Athletic Center. With one out, however, Campbell surrendered a bloop single. That was it for Fontanetti's as the Oaks went on to post an 8-1 victory in the first game of a doubleheader.

Palo Alto came back to complete its four sweep of the season with an 11-3 victory while improving to 8-0 this summer season. Campbell finished with a one-hitter with 10 strikeouts as the Oaks continued their impressive start.

In the second game, Brant Norlander improved to 3-0 with five innings of work. He surrendered two runs in the first inning but settled down and blanked the A's after that while striking out 11 in his five innings of work.
