A fabulous junior season for Chris Reed turned him into a first-round draft pick when the Los Angeles Dodgers selected him with the 16th overall pick.
He appeared in 25 games over his first two seasons, recording a 2-0 record and a 7.04 ERA over 23 innings. He struck out 15 and walked 17.
This season Reed is 6-2 and nine saves with a 2.54 ERA. He walked 15 and struck out 48 in 49 2/3 innings.
He was rated the top prospect in the Atlantic Collegiate Summer League, recording a 3-2 mark and a 1.09 ERA over 33 innings and 11 games. He had 39 strikeouts and walked 14.
