Menlo-Atherton's football game with Placer of Auburn, scheduled for Saturday afternoon, has been canceled due to COVID-19 issues at Placer.

M-A will use this week as a bye week. The school announced Tuesday that Menlo-Atherton will travel to Oak Ridge for a night game on Oct. 1, which was the originally scheduled bye week.

The Bears (1-2) are coming off a 34-0 victory over Pleasant Valley of Chico in an Honor Bowl football matchup Saturday at Liberty High in Brentwood.

M-A's next scheduled game is against McClymonds at home on Friday, Sept. 24 at 7 p.m.

Bears quarterback Matt MacLeod has thrown for 847 yards and 11 touchdowns in three games this season.

Jalen Moss has caught 21 passes, seven for touchdowns. Jeremiah Earby has six receptions, three for touchdowns.
