Evan Vagelos had two hits and drove in three runs, Andrew Dodson allowed a run on two hits over four innings and host Priory beat Pacific Bay Christian 7-1 in a non-league baseball game Tuesday.
Ronin Park and Cameron Brown combined for three scoreless innings for the Panthers (1-1), who travel to play Westmoor at 4 p.m. Thursday.
Tommy Leong, Dodson, Vagelos and Adam Collins each singled to open the bottom of the first, producing the only two runs Priory needed.
Priory added three runs in the second. Ben Putney opened with a single, advanced to second on Jose Zertuche's sacrifice bunt and scored on Leong's double. Dodson and Vagelos each followed with a RBI single.
Leong collected three hits. Dodson, Collins and Zertuche each added a pair of hits.
John Quinlan drilled a three-run homer with two outs int he top of the seventh inning but Menlo-Atherton came up a tad short in a 4-3 loss to host Santa Clara at Washington Park in a non-league baseball game Tuesday.
Santa Clara scored two runs in each of the first two innings before Nate Baxter delivered four shutout innings, giving the Bears (2-2) the chance to rally. Santa Clara left 12 runners stranded while the Bears stranded six.
Kyle Hartmanis reached on an error with one out in the seventh and Jonah Elisofon was hit by a pitch one out later and both scored on Quinlan's drive.
Rowan Barnes collected a pair of hits for M-A, which hosts Saratoga (0-5) in a non-league game at 4 p.m. Thursday.
Menlo School and visiting Half Moon Bay ended in a 4-4 tie as the game was called because of darkness in the eighth inning. The Knights (2-1) host Mountain View at 2 p.m. Saturday.
The Knights trailed 4-1 entering the seventh inning. Menlo senior Kiefer Lord singled with two on and two out to drive in senior Max Chou and tie the score at 4.
Menlo junior Roland Martinez-Luna singled to lead off the bottom half of the seventh, and senior Ian Collins followed with a hit.
Chou reached base on an error and Martinez-Luna scored. Julien Hernandez singled to load the bases, then Collins scored on a groundout.
Lord also delivered a sacrifice fly to score Julien Hernandez, who has walked in the bottom of the sixth.
In the top of the fifth, Menlo catcher Adam Kasser tagged a Half Moon Bay runner at home for a second out and the Knights ended the scoring threat picking off a runner at second.
