AUTHORS SALON ... Peninsula Volunteers' 23rd annual Authors Salon, on Sunday, May 4, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., will feature historical novelist Margaret George, author of "Elizabeth I," Tracy Guzeman, "The Gravity of Birds," Susan Shillinglaw, "Carol and John Steinbeck: Portrait of a Marriage" and Ron Hansen, "She Loves Me Not: New and Selected Stories and A Wild Surge of Guilty Passion." Moderated by Paul Goldstein, winner of the Harper Lee Prize for legal fiction, the event will take place at the Sharon Heights Golf and Country Club.
