  1. Please do not put any more city subsidize the farmer’s market. The farmer’s market at the MLK plaza (city hall) was a disaster with low turn out. The farmers were not even local. If the city council wants to go green, then please pass a more stringent smoking ordinance like Menlo Park, Belmont and San Francisco and enforce the gas blower ban. Please do something that will benefit all the citizens of the city, and do not put more money in another farmer’s market. I think the city should support Whole Foods Market instead.

  2. Three Farmer’s Markets in North Palo Alto and non in South Palo Alto. When it’s reported that three quarters of our tax dollars are spent in North Palo Alto (much of it wasted) this is unfair.

  3. We have a budget short fall – the city is already considering budget cuts to services. Why would anyone want to subsidize a proven loser program? Enough with the emotional attachments to “ideal” life type of services (e.g., 5 libraries) – the city needs to stop spending more than it brings in.
