City Council

The council did not meet this week.

Board of Education (Jan. 17)

Unions: The board approved contracts with its unions that will give employees 7% raises, retroactive to the start of the current school year. The district's top six administrators will get 5% raises, with 2% one-time payments. Yes: Unanimous

Housing: The council voted to approve paying $1.45 million to get access to 29 units of subsidized housing for employees in a planned development at 231 Grant Ave. Yes: Dharap, DiBrienza, Ladomirak, SegalNo: Collins
