A list of local residents who died recently:

Richmond Flatland, Jr., 98, a longtime resident of Redwood City who served with the US Marines and owned an electrical contracting company, died on Nov. 7; Dianne "Denie" McDonnell, 94, a former resident of Portola Valley who volunteered with the Allied Arts Guild in Menlo Park, died on Nov. 7; and Bradley John Ziebell,, 73, a longtime resident of Palo Alto who ran Avenue Florist on California Avenue for 25 years, died on Nov. 5.
