A list of local residents who died recently:

Sandra "Sandy" Milne Rickard, 84, a former resident of Palo Alto who volunteered with many community organizations in Palo Alto such as Avenidas and the Palo Alto City Library, died on Sept. 23; Patricia Weiss, 97, a longtime resident of Palo Alto who worked as Assistant Dean of Graduate Studies at Stanford University, died on Sept. 21; Wendy Kahn, 81, a longtime resident of Palo Alto who led ESL groups at Stanford and taught art classes for the Palo Alto Unified School District, died on Sept. 14; Roger Edwin Crist, 83, a former resident of Palo Alto who served with the US Marines and worked as an attorney, died on Sept. 3; Joseph "Joe" Manganaro, 89, a longtime resident of Palo Alto who worked as an engineer and established his own investment company, died on Aug. 12; Judith Amsbaugh, 89, a former resident of Menlo Park who volunteered at the Stanford Museum and the Menlo Park Library, died on June 30.
