City Council (Feb. 14)
The council directed staff not to move ahead with CEQA analysis of the Cubberley Community Center concept plan; to request a meeting with the Palo Alto Unified School District to discuss Cubberley; and to explore a land swap with the school district that would allow the city to acquire about 7 acres of Cubberly land that is owned by the district. Yes:
Pets In Need: The council agreed to negotiate with Pets In Need for a long-term contract that would keep the nonprofit in charge of animal services. Yes: Unanimous
