City Council (Nov. 8)

Standards: The council discussed proposed changes to the city's objective standards and voted not to expand the applicability of the "housing incentive program." It also directed staff to further expore enhancing privacy protection for residents in higher-density zones. Yes: Burt, DuBois, Filseth, Kou, Stone No: Cormack, Tanaka

Business tax: The council voted to commission polling on a proposed business tax and agreed to exempt grocery stores and small retailers from the tax. Yes: Burt, Cormack, DuBois, Filseth, Kou, Stone No: Tanaka

Renters: The council heard public comments about proposed policies to assist renters. Action: None
