A round-up of Palo Alto government action this week

City Council (Sept. 27)

Eden: The council held a pre-screening session to discuss the proposal from Eden Housing to build a 50-apartment complex for low-income residents at 525 Charleston Road. Action: None

Shelter: The council directed staff to apply for Project Homekey funding to construct an 88-unit shelter with 136 beds at 1237 San Antonio Road. Yes: Unanimous

Meetings: The council agreed to return to in-person meetings at City Hall on Nov. 1. Yes: Unanimous

Parks and Recreation Commission (Sept. 28)

Water: The commission heard a presentation from Valley Water about its proposed water purification projects. Action: None
